That’s my main message to you all! And also, if you have not renewed your membership now’s the time! Don’t wait any longer. Please fill it out and return it as soon as you can. If you can’t find your application, remember that there are two other ways that you can renew. A membership application can be filled out on-line; printed and mailed with a check; or filled out on-line and paid by credit card.
Make sure your application is filled out completely, and be sure to check to see that the link to your website works. Now is the time to be sure it’s correct.
If you do need something changed or corrected, start on the MCBA home page, click on “Members” at the top right of the home page, then click on “Web Updates” in the banner on the ‘Members’ page. Fill out the Form. Your questions, concerns, or changes will go directly to the webmaster and it may take her only a matter of minutes to fix your problem.
I’ve received a number of calls again from captains looking for missing information so they can fill out their membership applications ‘ PLEASE make copies of your merchant mariner’s license, membership application, documentation, DNR inspection papers and keep them at your house. Nothing is worse, than having to drive to your boat in three feet of snow to get some simple information.
Finally, if you really get stumped, call the 800 number which goes directly to me, and I’ll try to point you in the right direction. But, please remember we are all volunteers, and have other jobs or things to do. We will get back to you as soon we can.
The Southfield, MI DNR field office has moved!
If you send your boat inspection paperwork to the Southfield office it will be returned, save this new address and phone number.
